The laser machines include fiber laser marking machines, fiber laser welding machines, handheld laser cleaning machines and fiber laser cutting machines are all belong to class 4 laser. For more safety sake, we will stick safety signs on different part of machine for reminding users.
Here introduced some common safety signs on fiber laser machines and their meanings.
![]() | Electrical hazards | Words marked with the electrical warning symbol indicate a potentially hazardous situation. If certain procedures are not followed, it may cause minor or fatal damage to you or others. |
![]() | Laser Radiation Hazards | Text with the laser radiation warning symbol indicates a potential hazard to persons. We have affixed this symbol to the laser output end of mini laser welding machines. |
![]() | Warning | Text with a warning symbol indicates a potential product hazard. It requires an operating procedure which, if not correctly followed, can result in damage or destruction of the product or components. |
![]() | Ground wire | The handheld laser welding machine needs to be grounded. |
![]() | Direct and reflected beam hazard | This symbol indicates a potential hazard, which may cause direct or indirect damage to the eyes or skin due to reflected laser beams from welding. Personnel must wear protective equipment and clothing. |
![]() | Direct beam pointing hazards | Never look directly at the output of the soldering head “gun” or point the gun at other people. This is very dangerous. |
![]() | Smoke Hazards | When the laser interacts with a target material such as plastic, metal, composite material, etc., the target material may begin to vaporize. Smoke and fog are often invisible but are very toxic and pose a serious health hazard. |
![]() | Gas cylinder safety | Gas cylinders may explode if they are damaged or placed near the welding area. Shielding gas cylinders should be placed where they will not be struck or damaged. Place them away from heat, sparks, or flames. |
![]() | Laser safety enclosure | Laser welding equipment operation should only be done in a laser safe or in an enclosure (or room) with a safety device that has been interlocked. If someone unexpectedly enters, the interlock device automatically shuts down the laser welding system. |
![]() | Beware of Fire | If flammable or combustible materials are close to the welding area, the heat and sparks generated during welding can cause a fire or explosion. Laser welding can only be performed when there are no flammable materials in the area. Never weld containers that contain flammable or combustible materials. |

![]() | Class 4 laser replacement label | |
![]() | Wear laser safety glasses | This symbol indicates that personnel must wear laser safety glasses (personal protective equipment) to prevent laser radiation hazards. |
![]() | Wear protective clothing | This symbol indicates that personnel must wear laser-proof and heat-resistant protective aprons. |
![]() | Wear protective gloves | This symbol indicates that personnel must wear laser-proof and heat-resistant protective gloves. |
![]() | Wear a protective mask | Welding helmets also protect welders from injuries caused by hot spatter, metal particles, and sparks. |
![]() | Wear noise cancelling earplugs | To avoid the influence of equipment wind speed noise, please wear noise-proof earplugs when welding, which can provide the best protection during laser welding. |
